The Spott NSB

We ordered the bone marrow, Nashville hot fried shrimp, and drunken sauteed clams for appetizers. The bone marrow was nicely displayed and torched table side. The clams were okay but not outstanding or noteable. The shrimp were a bit spicy but great flavor, only 6 per order, so not enough for everyone in our party to try. The side salads cost extra to add to your entrée. Tried the fresh fish feature and the filet mignon. The filet mignon was absolutely AMAZING!!! The fish feature was cooked perfectly and would have enjoyed a bit more of the sauces. For dessert, we had the banana pudding coconut pie, creme brule, and Bailys infused chocolate pudding. The banana pie was by far the crowd favorite with the best flavor. The pudding tasted like chocolate pudding nothing special, the creme brule was the same as standard ones. The restaurant is very small inside and clean but odd table arrangements for parties of 8 we had a round table and a two person small table shoved together with two types of chairs (six cushion and two non-cushion). Would have preferred a rectangle table for consistency. The service was great! Would definitely order the filet mignon again. It is well worth the money.

NSB is so fortunate to have such an amazing restaurant. After eating at The Spot since it opened over a year ago, we’ve had the opportunity to try just about every item on the menu! The food is exceptionally good and the service is outstanding! I’ve never had a better steak at any restaurant like the steaks they serve at The Spot! The seafood featured daily is right off the boat fresh, and I promise you will never be disappointed with this incredible restaurant! You can tell the Terrance and Greg treat their staff like family and they in turn treat you like family as well! We highly recommend The Spot!

Really great dinner! Everything we had was delicious. The staff was attentive and super friendly but not intrusive at all. We called ahead and the owner even had our 6 top ready for us by the time we arrived. Definitely one of the best meals we have ever had in the area. The oyster and rock shrimp appetizer was phenomenal and the pork chop special was some of the best pork we had ever had. And don't miss the mac and cheese. The French onion soup was delicious!

I wish I could give them 10 stars! Ironically, it wasn't our first choice but after arriving at another local restaurant at 8:12 (yeah,I looked at my watch,they closed at 9)and getting a less the warm welcome,we actually got up and left.I HATE doing that, it's so awkward. But it was his Birthday, he works late, and I didn't want to feel rushed or like we were bothering them, so I suggested The Spott,as I knew they stayed open later...we walked in and asked if we could still get dinner (it was 8:35,again,watch,lol) Our greeter happily said "of course, sit where ever you'd like".She was our server,Nikki and she was amazing,friendly,explained the specials and fish of the day in such great detail,I bought it :) Birthday boy got the filet'.when I say he's hard to please..I'm just gonna say he's hard to please and leave it at that.. We were greeting by Scotty, the FOH manager. THIS guy made us feel like celebrities ,like we mattered that we were there. Everything you read in these other 5 star reviews about the quality of food and service at this place is Spott On. We had French onion soup, he had the filet,perfectly.plated with the coolest prepared layer potato thing,green beans (49.00) I had the Fresh Catch with the best risotto ever, and perfectly crisp broccollini (44.00) which Scotty explained "had been swimming 12 hours ago,locally sourced"), sweet tea,2 draft Ying Ling,2 expresso martinis,and creme' Brulee cheesecake for dessert.. total bill right about 160.00,pre tip.. We're just your average working people,and this meal was worth every penny.Seriously, treat yourself to dinner here..we don't go out very much and when we do I like to try places we've never been,even tho Mr Hard to Please usually can find something to complain about.. we both agreed this was the best meal we've ever had,!!!!!!!!so we probably won't be trying anything new anytime soon.We found our Spott ! As a bartender at an Oceanfront hotel in NSB,I'm regularly asked by guests my recommendations for dinner, and now I have a Favorite place to send them!! Oh.. and Dinner is HAPPILY served until 11 pm ! Thank you all for the amazing drinks, food, service and hospitality!

I absolutely LOVE The Spott and have been there quite a few times now. Before I reached the front door the hostess opened the door and greeted us. We sat and our server (Tyler) introduced himself shortly after. We ordered drinks, appetizers and then dinner. Tyler continuously checked on us to make sure everything was perfect and the owner delivered some of our food items and made sure we were happy with everything too. The atmosphere, service and food are always fantastic and I can’t wait to go back and try more menu items!
